Ford F-150 2007 cannot perform CAN-bus programming

I've been trying to install my EVO-ALL interface module with Crimestopper RS4-G5 remote start unit. All wires in correctly in place, I've checked this three times now. I own a 2007 Ford F150 and trying to program with the 1 key route (Programming #6, using the Flash Link). Connection for EVO-ALL to the Crimestopper are configured with the 4 pin data cord and the additional 4 wires (ground when running, ignition, RX and TX) from module to either ignition switch or remote start for ground when running. In trying to program, I get the blue light to stay on steadily when releasing the button after plugging in Data. After connecting 20-pin plug and beginning programming by inserting key followed by turning to on/run (not turing vehicle totally over) I do not get a blue blinking light. I followed the online troubleshooting steps and was told my RX and TX wires are switched causing blue light to turn off. This is abolustely not the case. I have updated the module to newest firmware using Flash Link which is required for downstream steps if i could get the blue light to blink. After the update, still no blue blinking light. Any and all suggestions for what to check/do next would be very helpful. I've found very little help in the isntallation guide and was quite disapopointed to see no paperwork in the box with the module as is advertised for it. All other wires for remote start work as expect (locks, domelight). An interesting thing is that without programming the module, I am able to start the truck with a non-chipped key that I had made to strictly open doors on the truck in the case of lockout. I'm glad it works, but should I expect this to be the case?
