2014 Mazda 3 - How to take over

Hello, I recently bought a 2014 Mazda 3 GT auto with this remote start module preinstalled. To start the car, simple, lock-unlock-lock sequence. Now when I hop in the car, I was told that without pushing the brake, I am supposed to double press the start/stop button and then I can press the brake and continue to shift into gear and go. However, after I double press the start/stop button, I press the brake and the car shuts off. Is there something I am doing incorrectly here? Thanks,

i-stop feature is not work if using Take Over procedure

Hi everyone,

I have a Mazda CX5 and installed Fortin Evo One with Thar-One-Maz3 T-harness. Everything works fine except:

I remote started the car by 3x locks, get in the car and press Start button (without pressing brakr pedal) then drive, i-stop feature did not work anymore. I-stop works as normal if I press brake pedal to stop engine then press Start button and drive.

Is there anything I can do or configure to make i-stop works after performing "take over" procedure?

Thank you,

2016 Mazda 6 EVO-ALL + MY-START - Key Takeover Possible?

Hey everyone, I am planning to install an EVO-ALL and a MY-START into my 2016 Mazda 6 soon. The only thing that is puzzling me is why a key-takeover is not possible when using the THAR-MAZ1 harness, but is possible without it. Looking at both guides, I don't understand the differences. I can see that the direct wire guide uses "Ignition 2" on the 32-pin white connector, and the THAR-MAZ1 guide uses "Data-key" on the 32-pin white connector. This seems to be the only differences in the two guides, and I can't imagine that this is what affects the key-takeover functionality. If I am understanding this correctly, key-takeover is only possible if the EVO-ALL can detect an unlock signal when the vehicle is running. How can the EVO-ALL detect this signal when it is wired directly compared to when it is wired using the harness? If, for whatever reason, the EVO-ALL cannot detect the OEM remote's unlock signal when the vehicle is running, what about the MY-START? This is an RF-KIT, which means that it's signals should be unaffected by whether the vehicle is running or not. In this case, if the vehicle was unlocked with this, would it still shutdown once the doors were opened? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

CX9 Starts when doors are open

I have a 2018 Mazda CX9 with the EVO ONE installed using the T harness. The vehicle starts without any issue using the OEM remote. The only concern I have is that it also starts while the doors are open and im putting my child in his car seat and I accidentally tapped lock button on the remote three times. Doesn’t the EVO ONE sense that the vehicle is disarmed and the doors are open and it should not start the vehicle?

Which remote start is good for me?

Hi, I am a newbie in the remote start area, I do not understand a lot of things. I am looking for a simple remote start solution using my original for my 2014 Mazda CX-5 automatic. The site gives me 2 answers, EVO-ONE and EVO- ALL for double price. I do not understand what are the differences - What does mean T-Harness available? Is it necessary or optional? For what? - Flash Link updater? What is? Ok, I know what is firmware updater, but is this required or optional? - What is Regular installation and Standalone installation? - What is Take over? Is it something hardware or just a settings?

Takeover with THAR-MAZ1 (EVO ONE or EVO ALL)

When comparing EVO MAZT1 with EVO ALL it shows that Takeover is not available with MAZT1.

Is it the T-harness that conflects with the feature? and will that apply when using EVO ONE with THAR-MAZ1 in 2017 Mazda CX9 Push to start with 3x OEM remote start?

If it does, is there any solution for the mentioned vehicle where OEM remote start, takeover and plug & play is a must for me.

Mazda 3 cruise control fails after takeover / also alarm doesn't work?

I installed an Evo-One in my 2016 Mazda 3 last week. I ran into several configuration issues that I have been able to work through, but I still have 2 that I can't figure out. First, after remote starting and a successful takeover, my cruise control fails to work. It turns on but wont accept any setting. I think this must be a bug in the firmware. If I manually start the car the cruise works just fine. This is confusing to me since the Evo-One shouldn't affect the cruise at all, right? Second, The alarm doesn't seem to work at all. It arms (LED on the antenna confirms it) and locks the doors like it is arming, but if I break in, nothing happens, no lights, no horn and the LED stays a steady blinking light like nothing is wrong. Does the Evo-One only control the OEM alarm, or does it have its own alarm built in (this is what I was assuming). Everything else works as designed. Great solution for remote starting a manual transmission.

E400-C - Turn OFF the engine when the door is open

Hello On a new Mazda 3 (automatic transmission) when I use the E400-C to start the engine, after any door or trunk is opened, the engine shutdown. I tried to use the unlock button first then open the door but same result. How can I change this? I need the engine to continue to run when I enter the car or open the trunk. Thank you.

2014 Mazda 6 MT, Evo-All Key Not Taking Starter Over.

2014 Mazda 6 Push Button Manual Transmission Viper 4806 Set to Manual Transmission Evo-All Updated Newset Software as of Sept 2014 W2W installation, Guide #4161 The bypass programs fine, Ar-35 is in place. Car is locked and ready to by remote started. I remote start the car, unlock using Viper Remotes. Mazda Fobs are inoperatable when car is running. Get in press on the foot brake. At that moment car shuts down. I've tried various other things to prevent the car from shutting down but nothing seemed to work. Keep in mind I have removed battery from factory fob to be placed in the dash attached to ar-35. And I have 2nd Mazda fob on my persons during the take over process. Everything listed below results in vehicle shutdown -Releasing handbrake -Pressing Push start button -Pressing Footbrake I just cannot get the car to take over the starting without is shutting down first. As stated in guide, it shouldn't shut down. I followed all the parameters for a successful take over but can not get it to work.
