Evo-All Alarm System - G1 & G2

First, I'd like to thank team Fortin for not giving up on my installation. I've finally come true and made 3x Lock remote start a success on my Toyota 2010 Highlander Hybrid PTS. I have a different dilemma: Why would Evo-All have Alarm options (G1, horn/siren and G2, chirp confirmations) if it doesn't work? Do I need to hook up Green wire to the Horn wire in the car? I don't have an alarm system in the car and all I want is an audio (horn) confirmation on lock/unlock pulses. Also, if you have specific knowledge where horn wire is located in the same car, 2010 Toyota Highlander PTS Hybrid? I multimetered many wires and couldn't get a pulse at all. Wire Color is not very helpful, since they say (-)Horn - gray wire at fuse box. which fuse box, where is it located? Thanks a bunch, Michael

Evo-all Standalone doesn't program on 2010 Toyota Highlander Hybrid PTS

I have installed Evo-All in my 2010 Toyota Highlander PTS Hybrid today and could not program the unit. a) Can-High wire is not Blue (as per manual), it is Black b) I couldn't find Ligh Switch Harness, so I didn't connect that wire c) When I hold programming button and insert data plug, unit alternates between Blue, Red, Yellow colors indefinitely and Blue light didn't turn solid Blue. So I released programming button when it was blue and it stayed solid blue d) Step 4, pressing PTS button twice didn't start the car Unit is updated to 79.20 firmware version, all A options are ON, C1 and D1 are ON, D1.6 - 15 minute runtime is ON, D4 is ON. Everything else is OFF. Please, Help. Thank you, Michael

Should I exchange my unit?

I have been on here a lot! I just removed each of my connections and reconnected them. I volt-tested my ignition wires to be correct and tried my connections on both. My unit still only turns the vehicle on to accessory (or on) but not ON as in with the Ready light on and motor running. When I push the lock button 3 times, the doors unlock, the vehicle switches on to accessory and then the vehicle locks. The Evo units light up red first then the yellow light comes on. My vehicle is a 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited, fully loaded (if that makes any difference). The service number on my Evo unit is 001A06 248524. The retailer I purchased from has offered to exchange it but that requires me mailing it back to them and waiting for a new one which will take approximately a month (Ottawa to Arizona + processing times). I want to know if it is a possiblity my unit is defective of what else I can possibly do to make this work. PLEASE help me to get this working! Thanks.

Ignition 1 vs. Ignition 2

My vehicle (2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited) has "Ignition 1" and "Ignition 2" wires according to your charts. I connected the Evo-All unit (as a stand-alone) to the white ignition 1 wire as per your diagrams. My unit is flahsed to version 79.10 as suggested in a previous question thread.

When attempting to start the vehicle (lock, lock, lock), the vehicle only turns on to accessory or on (does not completely start the vehicle).

My question is, can I connect to the ignition 2 wire (light blue) instead? I don't need to get into all of the technical stuff as I'm not a professional installer. I just would like to know, before paying a pro to do this simple connection swap, if it could easily be the solution to my problem without causing something else.

I have check each of my connections to ensure they are good and tight (no wire taps, straight connections directly to the wire and taped) so I know it is not simply a loose connection somewhere.

I had no issues programming my unit.

Thanks.

Toyota Highlander Hybrid engine does not turn on when remote started (for heater)

I bought the remote start to allow the temperature to correct (A/C or heater) prior to getting in as I think most people buy it for. I got everything installed and programmed but when the vehicle turns on, its as if it stays in hybrid mode (or accessory, I can`t tell) and the motor doesn`t engage to allow the vehicle to heat up. If I start the vehicle normally, the motor comes on right away. Everything else works fine. I even tried leaving it for a while to see if it would finally engage but it didn`t.

Solid blue LED turns off instead of blinking when push-to-start button pressed twice on 2008 Highlander Hybrid

I connected everything last night. I began the programming sequence but when I push the push-to-start button twice, my solid blue LED turns off instead of blinking. When I unplug the "A" harness from the unit, my blud LED comes back on. I did not connect the hood pin, valet switch or parking light out but made the other 7 connections. I would like to connect the parking light but wasn't immediately able to locate the proper harness to tap on to. I did notice that the colour identified in the manual of "blue" for the C3 connection should actually be black on the highlander as 1. there is no blue wire on the OBD-II connector for my vehicle and 2. the #6 pin is black...
