2013 mustang , evo one, FORT1 - Where should I connect E3 (12v wire)?

Where should I connect the E3 (12v) wiring to the 2013 Mustang? Do I need to connect directly to the battery? Or is there a fuse or wiring that can be connected inside the vehicle?
