Does the Bypass Firmware matter for DCryptor to work?

I have a 2020 Toyota 86, and followed all of the programming procedures from the provided guide, but was on the incorrect firmware (I was using 84.xx instead of 79.xx). All the programming steps were successful and I finished with the red and yellow alternating lights. After getting those lights, I unplugged the module to start the DCryptor process but got an error saying no data found. Could this be due to using the incorrect firmware? I am using an EVO-ONE.

Recently got new EVO-one and RFK422 kit. Where is the RF enable option in either BYPASS and/or REMOTE START tab? what is the right steps to follow to ensure RFK422 remote works. btw, evo has latest firmware. Also if one was to by non-fortin brand remote (e.g. idatastart); is there any menu to pick remote brand/type? I have fortin brand RFK422 kit however, Just curious to learn more about the evo/fortin system..

firmware history

Hello. Previously, there was a small window on the main page - firmware history - and I could find out the module status by its number. Now I can not find it.

Is there any recommendation from Fortin related to occasionally updating the Evo One firmware after the device has been installed in a vehicle?

Flash Link updater firmware update stuck at 1

Went to update the flash link to the newest firmware version. Update never moved past 1% after an hour and now the flash link says there was an error when doing last update and so it forces you to try again but it never gets past 1%. So now it will not connect to the evo-one to change settings.

I recently downloaded the new flashlink manager software 4.32. When i plug in an evo-all i notice there is no option to select between datalink/D2D etc. Does the evo-all not need to be set depending on if its used with different brands ?

Flash-Link Updater gets stuck at 1%

Flash-Link Updater (Hardware ver.4, Firware4.03) Evo-One (starter 7.1.20, Evo-All 2.4.18) FlashLink Manager ver. 3.62 I'm trying to update the Flash-Link Updater to the latest firmware since I was having trouble connecting to my Evo-One. No matter how long I wait, it doesn't get passed 1% in the progress bar. It also does not detect my Evo-One when I plug it in. I have the latest version of the FlashLink Manager ver. 3.62 installed on my windows 10 pc. Is there a specific Java version that I'm supposed to be using? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

How to check if my module is properly configured

Ever wonder how your module has been set up? If you have the correct firmware and options for your vehicle?

Did you know you can check all of these things simply by entering the service number on the back of the module in the search bar located on fortin.ca!

Give it a shot the next time you are unsure of how the module has been configured!
