brake wire causing no start?

Having issue with starting it lights up, brake lights come on like its going to start but stops without cranking says "brake" on LCD On dash, and evo stays lit with orange light or lights , if i put a stick on the pedal and hold brake pedal down as i try to remote start, it works fine

2014 VW Jetta
FORTIN EVO-ONE W/
VWT1 T HARNESS
DATE 12/2021
s/n 002b04248922
firmware remote start = 1.[26]  hardware 7.0
BYPASS = 75.[41]
hardware 4.0
using spare key
loaded suggested options on both with diesel option checked

I talked to 1 of your techs today on the phone about it not starting at brake and he said there may be another black & red wire for the brake but after looking at the factory wire schematic & taking the plug down again and physically looking at it,  there is only 1 red & black but there is a {black& violet} & {black & yellow} after the brake switch on the schematic, so im thinking going to one of those? at this point ive tried everything else i know to do.
i watch the lights on the evo as i hit the remote start it goes through all 3 lights then after stays on 2 orange lights or 1 glowing over to look like 2? and still says "brake" on the dash as its trying

brake lights come on as its going through the process of trying to start also

so it looks and acts like its going to but fails, checked every connection with my fluke meter also, everything is wired correctly only wire in question i suppose is the brake
and i dont care about having to press on the brake pedal so if there are wires to connect or cut to just do away with this feature im all for it to get this project done

P.S. I never did get a blue flash after plugging in all the plugs and turning on ignition, just lights turned off so dont know if thats normal and not mentioned in the guide? or if something is still wrong?

thank you!

Do I have to cut TPMS wire in 2018 Tundra? T-Harness

2018 Toyota Tundra, H-Key. I bought the Evo-One and T-Harness. I see in the instructions i need to cut the TPMS wire. Is this actually needed. I've ran into fortin installs where the directions and actual install were totally different. What else should i be aware of for this install?

What kind of connector is the red 6-pin relay harness for the EVO-ALL?

I have misplaced the red 6-pin relay harness that came with the EVO-ALL. I was wondering what kind of physical connector it is? (Ex. JST-XH, 1.0mm pitch, etc.). Thank you!

key port works but only when t harness is unplugged

2012 a4 w/push to start will not start. fortin inicated the key port has to be functional in order for it to start. but the key port does not work unless the t harness is unplugged. I was unable to get any help from fortin when i called anyone else had this issue and how can i resolve. the install thus far has been easy , simply tapped the brake signal wire and can high and can low. when the evo is connected it does attempt to start the car meaning it flashes each of the three lights but never hear the starter engadge. updated firmware as requested previously by fortin. but when i called today fortin tech was no so eager to assist. said either the evo relays are bad or the t harness is bad. can i help with anything else. I indicated i would like assistance tryin to resolve. so im trying to work through the troubleshooting he offered but now will not answer the phone. any help would be greatly appreciated.

2011 Lexus GX460 harness

is there a harness that I can get for the 2011 Lexus GX 460 and change the pins in the harness to fit the Lexus versus having to solder/change the wires? My 2012 ram 2500 was a easy install w the harness. I'd rather swap harness pins than have the oem wiring modified.

Are there any diodes in the Toy-10 T-Harness (Toy-2 and TY-20)?

Are there any diodes inside the harness that could go bad? I am still working on an issue with my 2019 Tundra and just found out that some harnesses have diodes or resistors in them. I just want to be able to test the harness if the new unit I get still fails to connect to the CAN-BUS. The TOY-10 consists of 2 harnesses. TOY-2 and TY-20.

how do i find the immobilizer on a 2006 jeep commander

i am going crazy trying to find the immobilizer on my 2006 jeep commander . ive read the manual and instructions but there is hardly any space back there. i cant find anything that looks like an immobilizer and there is hardly any space behind the key cylinder. how do you get in there to mess with the wires.? the space is insanely small or my hands are huge. I read i need to connect the yellow wire to yellow wire. i did that. but the other 4 wires do i just use a t-tap to connect them to the wire at the ignition harness? white/red - Orange Brown 72 Green/Red - Purple /Brown 46 Yellow/Red - Pink/Green 54 Blue/White - battery 12 v ( pictures shows connecting to kick pannel istead of Blue/red in ignition harness) None of the videos of installation online show anybody connecting any of the wires in the 20 pic connector. also, the instructions in the pdf show using the 12v battery wire nearthe kick panel instead in the 12v battery wire that is in the ignition harness(blue/Red) Help me please!

Which wire outputs +12V to the brake switch during remote start? OMEVOALL Fortin - EVO-NIST1

07 Infiniti G35 Push to start. OMEVOALL unit Fortin - EVO-NIST1 T harness. Installed and programmed no problem. Remote start only works when someone presses on the brake pedal (Otherwise it just turn on the radio, gauges for a few seconds then off) I tried using both the RL-1 and RL-2 harness neither works. I bought preprogrammed unit. I dont know if there's a problem with the programming or i have a loose wire somewhere. At no point will my unit activate the brake lights. Which wire is supposed to simulate the brake being pressed? I can run another wire if I need to but I think something might be wrong with my unit. Thanks!!

Which Start wire to use on Forester 2009 ?

I recently acquired a 2009 Forester. Using a Fortin Evo-All and a Crime Stopper RS2-G3 remote starter I cannot figure out which Start wire to use. 1) Your installation guide suggest the use of Start wires Ter 1 (White/Black) and 2 (White/Red) while the RS2-G3 connector only has one Start wire (Brown). How should I make the proper connection(s) ? 2) As well, the remote starter has two (2) Constant 12V (+) Input Red wires on its 6 pin power harness. Should both of them be connected to the RS2 (+) 12V white wire of the Forester Ignition harness ? PS. I see that on the Evo One installation you use a relay on the Start Ter 2 wire.

Do I have to connect any wires for Jeep Grand Cherokee 2006?

Hi,

I have tried to understand the manual, but not sure. It seems, that I have to connect one yellow wire to ignition wire, but not so sure about that. One installation video says, that I should connect 4 wires: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ic9W71gnRF0 - is it the correct or should I just connect 1 yellow wire and if Yes, then to which colour?

BR,

Ivo

What is the power wire on an evo-all

Does anyone know the power wire on the evo-all? My lights require more than 10amps. The directions say if they require more than 10 amp to wire from battery to the power wire. It doesnt state or show on the directions what wire this is.

Evo ALL with Ford THarness 2012 Ford Fusion

I have hooked up all connections except for driver door pin because I can't seem to find the correct wire. When I hold the program button and plug in the black 4 pin connector to start programming, nothing happens. No lights come on or anything. When I plug it back in to the Flashlink it comes on and shows the info. Am I missing something? I have my only vehicle dissasembled and really need to get this done. PLEASE HELP Update: I checked the red and black wires on the black 4 pin plug and there is 12.5 volts at the connection. Is this a bad unit? Update part 2: I flashed with an older version of firmware and then reflashed back to current/recommended firmware and it finally cooperated! Up and running. I do have one final question though, I did not hook up the left door pin wires because I couldn't find the correct one to use. What functions will I not have because of this? I have noticed that the car will only turn off if I press the brake. Any ideas?? Sory for the long post, just trying to do it right. Thanks!

Wiring/Programming EVO-ONE w/ DSM300 SmartStart (2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek PTS)

Installed a EVO-ONE into my 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek w/ Push-to-Start. I have no issues with the remote starter, bypass, locks, etc. Everything works great with a Fortin 2-way RF kit - which I am still temporarily using until I figure out how to get my DSM300 Smartstart to work. I didn't find the Smartstart guide particularly useful in regards to wiring it up to the EVO-ONE for my application. I had programmed the remote start to XL202 and grounded the gray D2D mode cable as per the Fortin guide. Can someone clarify if I am to use the white D2D connector that is included with the Smartstart's multi-connector harness and does it plug into the larger antenna port? Or do I need to make up a cable to go to the black Fortin Data-Link/Flashlink Port? Do I assume that I will have to power the Smartstart separately using its own 2-wire harness w/ 3-Amp fuse since the EVO-ONE isn't providing 12-Volts from the data ports? If so, do I remove the 12V power on my connection back to the EVO-ONE? I tried powering them separately and just leaving the data wires + ground, but I could not pair the Smartstart to the EVO-ONE; I sent a lock command which the Smartstart app said was successful during the pairing process as per the instructions I found, but I couldn't get the EVO-ONE to acknowledge the signal to pair the Smartstart. I hope someone can steer me in the right direction. Thanks - Chad
